Cold Cave
Cold Cave is an American electronic music project led by musician Wesley Eisold. Formed in 2007, Cold Cave is known for its darkwave, synth-pop, and post-punk sound, often characterized by moody, atmospheric beats, and introspective lyrics. Drawing significant influence from the 1980s goth and new wave scenes, the project blends synth-driven melodies with a brooding, minimalist aesthetic.
Wesley Eisold, the driving force behind Cold Cave, is a former member of several hardcore punk bands, including Give Up the Ghost (also known as American Nightmare) and Some Girls. Cold Cave’s music has been praised for its emotional depth, combining themes of love, loss, and existentialism with haunting soundscapes.
The project has released several critically acclaimed albums, including Love Comes Close and Cherish the Light Years, and is known for its intense, visually striking live performances.
